Getting to know the energy consumption generated by our body in every training session is a fundamental aspect in order to be able to adapt our diet to our needs. Knowing the energy expenditure that our body generates in each workout is a fundamental aspect to be able to adapt our diet to our needs.
The only thing we need to know is:
Ø Distance walked/run (for example: 10 km)
Ø Time (for example: 45min)
Ø Weight (for example 70kg)
1st Calculate the speed in meters per minute (S = space / time):
S = 10.000m / 45min = 222m/min
2nd Look for the energy consumption which corresponds to our speed in the table below:
3rd Multiply the value indicated in the table by our weight.
1’026 x 70 = 71’82 Kcal/km
4th Finally, multiply the resultant value by the kilometres we’ve walked/run:
71’82 x 10 = 718’2 Kcal
